My First Steps in the Artisan Trade
I started learning this trade when I was only 17. I had just left school and had moved to live in Talavera and I was really eager to learn and start earning a living.
Victoriano Fernández and Encarnación Rodríguez gave me the opportunity not only to be part of their company Tapizados Vifer, which dates back to 1972, but also to learn each of the techniques and intricacies of this beautiful artisan work. It is fair to say that they not only trained me as an upholsterer, but also as a person.
Continuity and Renewal
When the time came for their retirement, after more than thirteen years working with them, I could not find a better way to thank them for everything they had taught me than by continuing with the company. So in 2010 a new stage began, with renewed energy and vision, but ensuring that the values of quality and effort that they had transmitted to me from the beginning remained at the heart of everything I do. So I can say that my mission throughout this time has been to perfect our craft, taking care of every step, every nail, every staple, every fabric... without losing the artisan essence that characterizes us and the passion for artisanal and custom-made work.
Growth with enthusiasm
We have grown little by little, with a lot of work and effort, but above all with a lot of enthusiasm. I am no longer alone, we are a great team that works with a single motivation: the real satisfaction of our customers. Each sofa that we design and manufacture is designed to adapt to the needs and desires of those who trust us, because we understand that a sofa is not just a piece of furniture, but a key piece in the home, where unique and unforgettable moments are experienced.
The Cycle of Satisfaction
Is there anything more satisfying than receiving a call from a young man who grew up playing on one of your sofas and now wants you to accompany him to his new home? I can assure you there isn't.
